Taiwan and Southeast Asia

從中華民國建立之初，歷經對日抗戰及國共內戰，再到中華民國政府遷到台灣之後，從民國50年代開始，歷經中華民國退出聯合國、冷戰結束、及最近的南向政策。

This course explores the relationship between Taiwan and Southeast Asia from the perspective of historical development.

Development and Changes in Southeast Asian Society

瞭解東南亞的許多國家（但不是所有國家）如何實現驚人的經濟增長和緩解貧困。它也會討論東南亞經濟發展成功（和失敗）的社會和政治原因和後果，並關注人口，移民，性別，不平等，腐敗，種族和宗教等議題。

This research seminar explores the recent economic development and social changes in one of the world’s most dynamic regions – Southeast Asia. We seek to gain an understanding of how it is that many – but not all – nations in Southeast Asia have achieved spectacular economic growth and poverty reduction.
