使學生認識並親自體驗印尼特色音樂與舞蹈「DANGDUT

活動內容概述

Dangdut「噹嘟」是印尼最重要的音樂類型之一,取名來自演出時擊鼓所發出的兩種鼓的音色:「dang」與「dut」。它最初只是一種節奏,後來逐漸發展成一種印尼特有的音樂類型。噹嘟是種混合體:馬來詩歌傳統、印度音樂節奏、可蘭經(阿拉伯語)的誦經技巧、歐美樂隊編制、與拉丁舞蹈韻律。「Dangdut」音樂風格除了融合了印尼多樣化的文化根源,也巧妙地串連起種種印尼地道文化。

活動中講師透過演講介紹印尼音樂「dangdut」的樂器、風格、特色以及在社會上扮演的角色,接著帶領學生跳舞,在「dangdut」音樂伴奏的歡樂氣氛中體驗印尼庶民最愛的「dangdut」音樂。

心得:Even though I am not much of a dancer myself and will not go dancing unless someone “pushes” me, I was very glad that we were able to have a culture class with the stress on the Indonesian dance, so also us non-dancers are pushed out of our comfort zone. As I have already figured out, dancing is really important in Indonesian culture, our Indonesian club also prepared the whole show with the main topic being different dances from different parts of Indonesia. Through dances and such activities, we not only learn about Indonesian culture, but in the future, it can also help us overcome the barriers with the native Indonesians, as we have to go to Indonesia, and we will be able to join dance activities and have a basic common ground with them. Our activity was divided into two parts, the first one was introduction to Indonesian dance, in the classroom, by Bu Stella, she introduced dances from different parts of Indonesia, the traditional ones and also contemporary ones, moreover, she also at the same time introduced Indonesian music, as it is needed for dances. I thought that this is also very useful as she gave us music recommendations, presented popular singers, this comes handy, when a person is learning a language, to help with listening comprehension.
